Welcome to Amel Counseling

We Help Your Child Find Joy

We want to help your child thrive again.

There’s a saying- “Things are great until they aren’t.” What it may mean is, “Things are great until you notice they aren’t.” Your child may be asking for help in ways you don’t realize: they may be acting out or withdrawn. Your child may seem fine, but your gut tells you something isn't. Things may have been so chaotic for your family that you never noticed your kiddo was struggling. Then, the school called. You want to help, but don't know where to start.

How Therapy in Philadelphia, PA Can Help

Grief and Loss Therapy

We help kids and teens build resiliency. This happens by teaching safe and helpful coping skills to adjust after a loss. We help loved ones to create a supportive space where their child can work through emotions. We want to help you learn how to be the support your child needs!

Therapy for Kids and Teens of Color

Being the only or one of few is hard! We help kids and teens work through their anxiety of being singled out, excluded, or stereotyped. Our team teaches safe and helpful coping skills to navigate times when they feel their skin, hair, or background are being called out. We can give them the tools to boost and maintain self-esteem and create a sense of belonging. They can learn how to find support in their environment. All while loving themselves and their heritage.

Group Therapy

Sometimes it’s easier to talk about tough things with a group. We offer several groups for kids and teens dealing with anxiety, depression, school issues, relationships, and loss. Check out our current offerings!
