Hi, I’m Sarah
I earned my Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Villanova University. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and completed my clinical internship at Amel Counseling. I have over 5 years of experience working with children and supporting families as a behavioral therapist.
I specialize in offering therapy for children and teens with neurodivergence. I have experience providing therapy to children and teens with Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and developmental delays.
My clinical orientation is child-centered, I meet each child individually where they are. I create a safe place for children to explore, express themselves, and work towards building coping skills and healing. I use techniques from strengths-based, cognitive behavioral, and play therapy to enhance your child’s abilities and therapy process.
Children and teens I work with know I am NOT trying to change them. I offer support and education so clients and families understand their needs and find ways to change the environment and social expectations while building their individual skills.
As your child’s therapist, I am also their advocate and will work to make sure they are appropriately supported in other environments such as school.
I support children coping with divorce and separation. I understand the unique challenges and emotions that come with navigating family separation.
Through a compassionate and child-centered approach, I provide a safe space for children to express their feelings, fears, and concerns.
Together, we explore ways to build resilience, strengthen family bonds, and cultivate a positive outlook for the future.
I provide culturally affirming care to Asian kids and teens. As a first generation immigrant, multiracial Asian American I know the importance of having a therapist that understands. I understand the unique challenges that Asian kids and teens face, navigating the intersection of cultural expectations, family values, and their own personal identities. My approach to therapy is rooted in cultural affirmation—honoring the rich traditions and experiences that shape each young person while supporting them in exploring their individual needs, aspirations, and struggles. I create a safe, empathetic space where they can feel understood, respected, and empowered to express themselves without fear of judgment. Together, we work towards a sense of balance, self-acceptance, and confidence, recognizing that their cultural background is a source of strength, not a barrier.
I provide services to parents of toddlers and young children. Is your child having intense tantrums, difficulties with transitions, and or issues regulating their emotions? I provide parent coaching to teach you how to respond and work through these difficulties and give you techniques to use with your child to improve your child’s emotional intelligence and emotional regulation skills.
If you are ready to explore what is getting in your child’s way and figure out what to do next, schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
