I'm Kim, and I want to help your child thrive again.

I'm often asked,  "Why the name Amel?"  Amel is simple and beautiful. An Arabic name meaning: labor, hard work, pure, hope.  Does this not sum up life?! Life can throw you a curve ball and we struggle.  It can be even more difficult for kids and teens who lack ability handle those big emotions and changes. They often ask for help by acting out or withdrawing. Sometimes they can seem fine, but your gut tells you something isn't. Other times things have been so chaotic for your family that you never noticed your kiddo was struggling until the school called. You want to help, but don't know how.

I help kids and and teens build resiliency by teaching safe and helpful coping skills to overcome grief and tough transitions.  I also help loved one to create a supportive space that their child can work through their emotions. I want to help you learn how to be the support your child needs.
